37:365 - Tri-swing week ~ Shade
She was a little concerned and not entirely thrilled about being on a new swing at first, but after a few minutes, she started chewing away and was quite happy!

"You won't believe what I heard... "
I loved this picture but couldn't come up with an original caption for it. Posted the picture on Avian Avenue and asked people to caption in. There were some good one that came out, but the one I used for the title is what I felt worked best for the picture, out of the captions posted so far.
36:365 - Tri-swing week ~ Petey
He looks so tiny on it!
So the item being featured is our Tri-swing from Crystal's Bird Toys. It was tempting to make the theme something like "bird feet" or "close-up", and they'll remain on the list for future themes, but given the last theme week was about a body part, I wanted to change it up for now. And it gave me the occasion to take the swing out of the closet (partially because I didn't know where to hang it for a while, and partially because I wasn't ready to see it be destroyed).

The 365 project this week...
...will feature an item from a vendor who has been featured a few times on this blog.
I guess the week has already started, however, as far as "365 weeks" are concerned, they start on Wednesdays. So tomorrow, the first of these pictures to feature that specific item will go up.
However, it is likely that there might only be six out of seven pictures that will feature it; one bird wasn't too keen (yet) to be photographed with it. Maybe this will change by the end of the week, as he (I guess that is a clue as to who it can be) gets used to seeing the item in the room.

35:365 - Hanging around
It's pretty hard to take a picture of Piper if he's on this net - either he moves around really fast or he spots me and decides to fly to my shoulder. So I'm pretty happy with this, especially since you can see a fiber falling, that had just been removed by him.

Léa and some forbidden items
I found some plastic beads!!! And she can't reach me up here!!!
Oh, forbidden toys!
Obviously, she doesn't get plastic very often, or rather never if I get my way. Her beak is very strong and even very hard plastics, such as these pacifiers, she can destroy rather easily when she commits to it. Luckily, something else grabbed her attention and she moved away from these "temporarily prized items".

Preening buddies
These are from a few days ago, but given that both of them are currently busy in the same activity, I figured I'd use the older pictures instead of attempting to take new ones (they generally will separate if the camera is pointed in their direction for too long).
This one isn't the best picture, as Zuri is rather out of focus, but I love how Shade's head is pushing him to be preened.

32:365 - Having fun!
I actually wanted to have another post or two between this one and the previous one (also of Léa), but got lazy and never got around to it. But I was quite insistent this one go up today!
She was having fun on the Oddball from Oliver's Garden, a toy I really bought for the smaller birds (the diameter of the "branches" being on the smaller size for her). But she obviously doesn't care about that and was going around and around...
Scratch me?
From an earlier photo shoot - there was quite a few pictures from that day that I liked of Léa and have been spacing them out. However, since I took more pictures of her this morning for the 365 project and there is again a number of them that I liked (we were in the bird room and she moved around quite a bit!), there might be a slight onslaught of Léa pictures on the blog over the next few days. You have been warned!
