Not wanting to use the flash and having limited natural light, I was shooting with a large aperture, which meant having a shallow depth of field. And while just a little of the picture ends up being perfectly in focus, I find it's the right thing that got highlighted, namely Shade's beak and tongue, since she was in the process of yawning.
