The birds got, amongst other things, a raspberry and a blackberry (this was the Boy's idea...) And while for most of the birds, there was likely traces of these fruits all over the cage, in Shade's case, the mess was very much contained to her bowl.
She can't waste a drop! I'm sure she would have gone back for more had we not removed the bowls. She's a very neat bird when it comes to food she loves (and there isn't much she doesn't love).
Her beak may have been sporting a shade of purple after breakfast...
