Throwback Thursday
Another "wings up in the air" shot, this time featuring Joey.
This was taken in April 2014.
Doesn't he look like he knows how to pose for the camera?

Downwards
Joey felt the need to go down, all the way to Léa's cage, which was only allowed since there is a thick piece of Plexiglas above her cage. He was removed immediately after his feet touched the Plexiglas.

Throwback Thursday
It has been a busy week, so I haven't really had a chance to post, which means there are two
Throwback Thursday posts in a row.
This one features a picture of Zuri with his wings up in the air, taken in April 2014.

Throwback Thursday
I was going through pictures this morning, thinking of what I could use for throwback Thursday, and found this one of Shade, which is fairly recent (less than two years old) and gave me an idea for the next few TBT shots - favourite past pictures of the birds with their wings up.
This one was taken in April 2014.

Throwback Thursday
Here is one of my favourite older pictures of Léa. She was doing a whole body shake, ruffling her feathers, and this little piece of down feather flew off of her and I caught it still mid-air. This was taken in November 2012.

Mutual preening
It's been a while since I last posted pictures of a preening session between Shade and Zuri, in which Shade more often gets preened and poor Zuri gets little of the same attention in return. As you'll see below, Zuri starts preening Shade, does it for some time before he stops and presents his head for some preening. Shade will normally resist a little, give in for a few seconds and then lower her head for more, and Zuri will typically start preening her again.
