Last week-end I gave Léa a toy I've have for a little over a year. I initially didn't think it would be a in-cage toy, and I was still pondering where I could hang such a large toy of the cage. However, given that Léa has been going through quite a few of her toys lately, I figured why not give just give her the big toy and hope it keeps her busy for a while.
We barely had time to close the quick link that she wanted to get to it. Here are a few pictures, and I swear I held back on how many are being shared!

The swings are always better in the neighbour's cage
This is Shade's take on the grass is always greener on the other side. In the orange room we have two cages set-up that aren't really used by any of the birds, the one is Nemo's cage when he comes to visit. I generally keep the doors to those cages closed, but lately Shade has shown interest in the one cage...
The door is open!
I can see inside..oh what is that?
Just a little closer...

Léa and the Chunky Halloween Kitty toy
Only when I looked up the name of the toy, did I realize it was a little out of season. But, given I asked for the toy to be left mostly "natural" instead of being dyed, it really doesn't look like a Halloween toy! (Not that the birds would care either way.)
This is a Things for Wing toy.
I did try to also get pictures of Zuri playing with this toy, but when he saw the camera come out, he stopped and started to pose nicely instead.

My favourite picture - it's all about the pose
The look of concentration
The look of surprise (probably when she first noticed the camera)
Going back for more!

Petey would not approve
The birds get a small amount of seeds (along with fresh food and pellets) and the seed mixtures contains some dried fruits. The dried papaya is a favourite of Petey's, possibly one of the things he'll consistently eat (with fresh food, what he eats for a week he may not touch the following one).
Last Sunday, this is what the bottom of Pixel's cage looked like -
Quite a few pieces of dried papaya ended up on the bottom of her cage - Petey would most definitively not approve of this behaviour!
