Hey!

Léa is providing quite a bit of entertainment this morning.

As we are letting the birds out in different groups (currently on our second "round", which includes Joey, Pixel and Petey), she's keeping herself busy chatting it up to herself and Piper, Shade and Zuri in the birdroom. She's by far the most vocal out of the four, but not in an unpleasant manner; she is practicing her vocabulary, although we can't yet make out most of what she's saying.

But it appears at times she's finding it too loud herself and will give herself a stern "Hey!" - something we say if the birds are getting too noisy all at once (which is most likely because something specific set them off), are getting into a tiff (and this generally breaks it off) or are thinking of doing something they shouldn't be doing (like going places they aren't allowed, again, saying hey will put a stop to it).

On top of telling it to herself, if Zuri happens to let out what we call the "Meyer's call" (less pleasant that Léa's babble), she's been telling him "Hey!" as well.

The funniest part is when she does it to herself though; she'll get "loud", hey herself to be quiet, keep quiet for a few minutes and start over again.
